First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) offers a traditional  worship service, Sunday at 10 a.m. Child care is provided for infants and toddlers.


Traditional Worship

Sunday, 10 a.m.


The traditional service offers familiar hymns accompanied on the organ. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated and the sermon is Bible-based. During the school year, the chancel choir is in session and brings special music.


Activities:


Sunday School is available for all ages at 9 a.m. each week.


A Children’s church program is offered on Sundays during the traditional service.


There are fellowship opportunities for people of all ages.

Women's Fellowship:

Christian Women’s Fellowship has two groups that meet. During the school year, one group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. for a light breakfast, Bible study and fellowship.


A women’s Bible study is also offered, during the school year, on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m.


There are monthly “Girls Night Out” opportunities as well that include, seeing a play, going to dinner, having a movie night and much more.


Men's Fellowship:

The Christian Men’s Fellowship meets on the second Saturday of the month for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The men’s fellowship group gathers for food, prayer, and to participate in an outreach ministry to those in need of minor home repairs, help around the yard, and so on. The men have an annual Men’s spirituality focus or retreat: this years’ theme, “Be a Man About it,” challenged men to put Christ first in every area of their lives.


Children's Fellowship:

Christian Youth Fellowship and Chi-Rho are Senior and Junior high youth who gather on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. for fellowship, puppet and drama ministry, music ministry, or just to “hang out.”


The Christian Café is open Wednesday during the school year for the Jr. and Sr. high youth from 2:30-5 p.m. Bring a friend, bring homework, bring a problem to discuss, or just shoot some pool, play a video game and have a snack.


From September through April, a variety of children and youth programs are available at the church on Sunday evening.  Contact the church office or view the calendar for details.


Chancel Choir:

The choir meets September through May on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. The choir prepares weekly specials as well as musical programs for Christmas and Easter.
